The goal of Mesa Public Schools Junior High Athletics Program is to involve as many students as possible in a wide variety of sports while developing their skills in a competitive environment in order to prepare them for high school both as students and athletes.

We appreciate your attendance and participation in Fremont Junior High School Athletics program. At Fremont we encourage and expect respectful interactions between competitors, spectators, and officials.

Fremont Junior High School - Quarter 4 Tryouts Information

Fremont Jr. High Quarter 4 Tryout Dates and Times - Please refer to each sport below for the specific tryout dates and times. Student-athletes must fill out the form below before they can participate. You must fill out the google form below even if your child has participated in other sports during the school year. This information lets us know who is planning on attending tryouts for each quarter.

Girls Basketball (TRYOUTS ARE BEFORE SPRING BREAK)  Due to Quarter 3 sports possibly needing the gym for playoffs the girls basketball tryout dates will be announced after the first day of tryouts on 3/8/24.  There is the possibility of the second day of tryouts taking place on Monday or Wednesday of the following week.  Further communication will be sent out as soon as these dates are finalized.

  • Thursday 3/14/24

• Times:

  • 7th Grade - 4:30 - 6:00PM

  • 8th Grade - 4:00 - 5:30PM

• Location: Main Gym

• Equipment : Bring basketball shoes, shorts, and water

• Teams will be announced on the last day of tryouts.

Boys Soccer

• Tryout Dates:

  • Tuesday 3/12/24

  • Wednesday 3/13/24

  • Thursday 3/14/24

• Time: 4:00 - 5:30PM

  • Wednesday's Tryouts will be from 2:00 - 3:30PM

• Location: Football Field

• Equipment: Bring soccer cleats, shorts, and water

• Teams will be posted on Friday 3/15/24

Tryouts and practices are CLOSED to parents, friends and family.

The Athletic Fee for students that make a team is $100. The fee must be paid before the first game.
