The goal of Mesa Public Schools Junior High Athletics Program is to involve as many students as possible in a wide variety of sports while developing their skills in a competitive environment in order to prepare them for high school both as students and athletes.

We appreciate your attendance and participation in Fremont Junior High School Athletics program. At Fremont we encourage and expect respectful interactions between competitors, spectators, and officials.

Fremont Junior High School - Quarter 1 Tryouts Information

Fremont Jr. High Quarter 1 Tryout Dates and Times - Please refer to each sport below for the specific tryout dates and times. Student-athletes must fill out the Athletics Statement of Awareness form below before they can participate. You must fill out the google form below even if your child has participated in other sports during the school year. This information lets us know who is planning on attending tryouts for each quarter.

Locations: 

8th Grade- Fremont Main Gym

7th Grade- Students will begin at Fremont and walk with Coach Robinson to the Mesa Academy gym (next door to Fremont).  7th grade parents will pick up their students at the Mesa Academy (6919 E. Brown Rd. Mesa, AZ 85207).

Equipment : Bring basketball shoes, shorts, and water

Teams will be announced on the last day of tryouts.  Practices begin Friday, 8/10/24. A practice schedule will be communicated to families by the coaches. Students that make the team will need to pay.

7th & 8th Grade Wrestling (co-ed)

Student Informational Meeting & Introductory Workout:

Wednesday 8/07/24 

Time: 2:00 - 3:00PM

Location: Wrestling Room

Equipment: Bring athletic shoes, shorts and water

Practices begin Thursday, 8/08/24. A practice schedule will be communicated to families by the coach.

Tryouts and practices are CLOSED to parents, friends and family. 

The Athletic Fee for students that make a team is $100. The fee must be paid before the first game.
